Off the beaten path - areas which are had to get to, normally only accessible by liveaboard.

There are areas which are not normally visited as they are too far from major connecting centres. However several times a year a Dive Liveaboard will look to relocate to a new destination for the next season or do a special trip. This could mean the vessel travels over a long distance and will take the vessel into remote areas where divers haven't been before, or very rarely, hence "off the beaten path". The challenges in this area are great as they are remote areas, you should be an experienced diver with a minimum of 50 logged dives. Evacuation is normally by boat then a helicopter so dive insurance is mandatory.
