CORAL

Corals - soft or hard & colourful, seemingly growing in fields, on walls & on outcrops.

With so many types of both soft & hard corals, it's amazing to see. In areas laden with soft corals you see a range of amazing colours and life. With hard corals they form the basis of the reef, so you know you have sea life when there's coral. If you are a photographer tracking and capturing the small critters on "film" is the challenge, as they hide in both types.

Some areas are affected by coral bleaching and others are healthy & vibrant. Some of the bleaching areas have reef restoration projects in place, which you can help out with. The coral reef is so diverse in each area, a pleasure to see!
